A Town Full of History
Just a mile from Lochside, historic Sanquhar is packed with character and stories. Home to the world’s oldest working post office, dating back to 1712, it’s a fascinating little town surrounded by beautiful countryside and centuries of Scottish history.
It’s a wonderful place to explore, grab a coffee or simply wander and soak up the atmosphere before heading back to the peace and beauty of Lochside.
A Holiday Your Dog Will Love Too
We’re truly dog-friendly, with your four-legged friends at the heart of the experience. Our own secure 6ft-fenced paddock gives dogs the freedom to stretch their legs, sniff and explore safely, without worrying about them wandering off.
We also understand that not every dog enjoys busy places, unfamiliar dogs or crowded walks. That’s why this is a peaceful escape where anxious and reactive dogs can enjoy a holiday at their own pace.
With secure spaces to explore and plenty of tranquillity, you can relax knowing your dog can enjoy the break just as much as you do.
